This morning, the first day of 2018, started grey, cold and wet … then the sun came out. Light bounced off droplets, fresh shoots pushed up through the moss – it was bright and wonderful, still cushioned in autumn bronze.

  2. Another beginning. In NY is cold, not quite grey, not quite misty, just a stillness about everything. Our crocuses will appear in a few weeks. In the meantime I am enjoying the amaryllis that a friend gave me for Christmas and which has just bloomed. Wishing you a happy, healthy and productive year.
